Blacksmiths’ items shown in this picture (see details on Picture 3) include hammers, horseshoes, locks and keys.
In the centre is a memorial tablet erected in 1835 before the wallpaintings were re-discovered in 1849. Beneath can be seen part of the chequered dado which seems to have run all the way round the walls.
