STONE AGE c.100,000 – 2,000 BC This long period of early pre-history is divided up into three broad ages:
- New Stone Age or Neolithic – c. 3,500 – 2,000 BC
- Middle Stone Age or Mesolithic – c.10,000 – 3,500 BC
- Old Stone Age or Palaeolithic – c.100,00 – 10,000 BC
The map shows the various Stone Age sites found within the current area of Milton Keynes. Many more sites have been found in the area surrounding the City too.
